What is an acute injury?
An acute injury is when you’re engaged in activity and do something that causes a significant amount of pain that limits you in your activity. Those can involve injuries to the muscle, tendon, joint or ligament – and we can evaluate those with a physical examination and then also potentially with ultrasound diagnostics. Treating acute injuries is something that I am very passionate about. They often happen to our athletes and members of the community – and the most important thing is getting them back to their activity. We work hard to get individuals who suffer acute injuries seen fairly quickly to ensure they are evaluated so we can effectively come up with a very detailed and specific treatment plan to safely get them back to activity.
