Tenex® & Tenjet ®

Tenex ® & Tenjet ® can treat some of the most common tendon injuries including achilles tendonitis, tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, gluteal and hip, jumper’s knee, plantar fasciitis and rotator cuff tendonitis.

What is it?

Tenex® & Tenjet ® are non surgical, minimally invasive treatment options (percutaneous tenotomy) for tendon pathologies. These procedures are covered by most insurances.

How does it work?

The Tenex ® procedure uses ultrasound technology to identify the damaged tendon and utilizes a minimally invasive surgical instrument to break up the disease portions on the tendon.

The Tenjet ® procedure uses the flow of water to break down and clean out the diseased areas of the tendon under ultrasound guidance and leaves the healthy part of the tendon.

Oftentimes patients can be awake for both procedures and it usually only takes about 15 to 20 minutes to complete.

What does it treat?

Tendon pathologies are some of the most common injuries in active individuals. Some of the most common tendon injuries are achilles tendonitis, common extensor tendonosis (tennis elbow), common flexor tendonitis (golfer’s elbow), greater gluteal tendonitis (hip), patellar tendonitis (jumper’s knee), plantar fasciitis and rotator cuff tendonitis.
